Oh my these past couple of months I have been on fire in the creative department. I have become so much my savvy with Corel painter X and it all sated when I entered the competition back in April (see last journal post)
I have completed 2 new art works in this month alone and have redesigned my logo after so many years of the old one.

Well I have submitted my entry for my first ever DA conest Am fairly excitited about this one as I was able to redo onw of my previous paintings from scratch in my new style. I wasn't sure at first which painting to do. I almost did my woodland faery one as.. lets face it not all that good *shakes head in dispare* But after talking with a friend of mine I decided on redoing my unicorn night painting and I am really pleased with the result!

Almost 25!

Egads! I can't believe I'll soon be 25. For me this is a very scary thought as I always imagined it to be a very significant time.
I am at a cross roads in my life and I have stopped at them for long enough, it is time for change.
I belive in my artwork and I feel if I can find the right audience I can go far I just need to get my work out there more. So far I only have one out let selling my cards but they don't get as many customers as a store wouldin the middle of town. I am very grateful that they have my work for sale there.
I have tried selling on etsy and on a new UK craft site called myehive.com but I have had no luck there so far. I just get lost in the sea of far superiour products and art prints. I need to work on my promotion. Next year I plan to have stands at local new age festivals. I want to rebuild my website and intergrate a shop into that also. But above all I need a job to fund this venture and that is where the problem arises.
I feel the next few months are going to be challenging but I hope rewarding also.

Sitting in my CD pile in truth.
Ok so I have used photoshop now since 2001 and I love it for creating my art work and I have found I have gotten better with every painting I have made on it but it no longer works on my computer and all attempts to get it working again has failed.
Thats when I remember I had a copy of Corel Painter X and I found it out and loaded it and I have been having a blast!
If I was painting with real life media I would be covered in paint thats how much fun I have been having with Painter and I look forward to learning what I can do with this amazing program.
